SaddleTalk is a mobile app designed for equestrian riders and trainers. It provides real-time two-way audio during riding sessions and automatically generates transcriptions, summaries, and action points from each conversation.
Who is SaddleTalk for?
SaddleTalk is built for riders, trainers, and group ride leaders. Whether you're coaching a private lesson, coordinating a group lesson, or leading a trail ride, SaddleTalk keeps everyone connected.
Is SaddleTalk available on iOS and Android?
Yes. SaddleTalk is available for both iOS and Android smartphones.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes. You register with your first name and email address. Registration is free and only takes a moment.
Audio & Communication
Do I need a headset?
Yes. A Bluetooth headset is required to join audio in SaddleTalk. This is a deliberate safety measure — it keeps your hands free while riding and ensures consistent audio quality.
Which Bluetooth headsets work with SaddleTalk?
Any standard Bluetooth headset compatible with your smartphone will work. No special hardware is required.
How many people can join a session?
It depends on the type of conversation. Lessons currently support 2 participants (1 rider + 1 trainer). Group rides support up to 6 participants.
How do others join my riding group?
When you start a session, a QR code is displayed on screen. Other participants scan it with their phone camera to join instantly — no codes to type.
Does SaddleTalk work in large arenas and outdoors?
Yes. Audio runs over cellular or Wi-Fi, so it works anywhere you have a phone signal — including large indoor arenas, outdoor tracks, and trail rides.
Can I mute my microphone?
Yes. You can mute and unmute at any time during a conversation. You can also set your microphone to start muted by default in Settings.
Transcriptions & AI
Are sessions automatically transcribed?
Lessons are automatically transcribed in real time and split by speaker. Ride sessions are not transcribed. The full transcription is saved and accessible after the lesson ends.
What are action points?
Action points are concrete tasks and corrections automatically extracted from your lesson by AI — things to practise, exercises to remember, or cues to work on before your next lesson.
What is the session summary?
After each lesson, SaddleTalk generates a concise AI summary of what was discussed. It's a quick way to review the key points without reading the full transcription. Ride sessions do not get a summary.
How long are past sessions stored?
Sessions are stored until you choose to delete or archive them. Archived sessions are hidden from your main list but can be unarchived at any time. Permanently deleted sessions cannot be recovered.
Privacy & Data
Are my sessions private?
Yes. Sessions are only accessible to the participants who were part of them. We do not share your audio with third parties.
Can I delete my sessions?
Yes. You can permanently delete any session from within the app. You can also archive sessions to hide them from your list while keeping the data.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot your password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a reset code by email. Enter the code, then choose a new password.
How do I change the app language?
Open Settings in the app and select your preferred language. SaddleTalk is available in English and Dutch.
